When we redesigned the user interface for IS/7, our primary goal was ease of use. The uncluttered layout provides users with quick access to the most important tools Learning a new module is easy because the layout is consistent throughout the product. The intuitive design and the reduced number of clicks needed to perform actions lets users focus on their work.
Fast Navigation
Administrators can now make commonly used areas easily accessible by adding them to the new bookmark bar in the header area. Bookmark visibility is controlled using access rights making it easy to manage bookmarks for many users and groups. Each user can also add personal bookmarks to a dedicated bookmark menu.
Quick Selection
Gone are the typical Web interface checkboxes for document and file selection. A single click in the desired row is all that is needed now. Of course, Shift-Click and Ctrl-Click for multiple selection are also supported.
Easy Access
Having the most important functions just a click away not only increases productivity, but also makes IS/7 a joy to work with. Nobody likes to hunt for the right tool in a complex menu structure. Toolbars and context menus always make sure the relevant tools are at your finger tips and the uncluttered menus allow less commonly used functions to be easily found.
