Herwig Gangl CEO

Herwig Gangl Herwig Gangl succeeds Peter Duijst as CEO and chief executive of Hyperwave AG. Herwig Gangl can look back at many years of international management experience in the areas of consulting and system integration, and was most recently employed by IBM. During his time at IBM, Herwig Gangl held various international top management positions, most recently as consulting and service leader for Austria, Switzerland, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Herwig Gangl was previously a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and CEO of the Austrian branch. He was also a member of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ consulting management team for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and was responsible for the telecommunications and media segment in this region. Herwig Gangl has also held managerial positions at Cap Gemini and Computer Associates, among others. Gangl studied psychology and biology at the University of Vienna.

“The latest business solutions in Web 2.0, the expansion of new sales channels and services such as software-as-a-service support Hyperwave’s path to success,” says Herwig Gangl. “My main aim is to increase Hyperwave’s success and to continually expand the company, together with my team, using a consistent corporate strategy. In addition to the core markets in Germany, Austria and the UK, we will focus on expanding in new markets, especially those in Central and Eastern Europe. We see growing potential in these areas in terms of enterprise content management.”

Gerhard Pail CFO

Gerhard Pail As one of the founders of Hyperwave, Gerhard Pail created the company’s initial business plan and succeeded in closing the initial financing rounds in 1996/97. He rejoined in 2001 and had several positions within Hyperwave. He is now CFO responsible for Finance, Administration and R&D of the whole Hyperwave group. Gerhard Pail holds an MBA in economics. Gerhard Pail has co-founded and successfully built up 5 companies to date. He is on various boards of IT companies and is well connected in the IT industry. Gerhard Pail has also been responsible for managing numerous research projects in IT for other research institutions (Joanneum Research, Austria Research Centre).

Mansuet Gaisbauer V.P. Engineering

Mansuet Gaisbauer It was when he was studying Telematics at The University of Graz, that Mansuet Gaisbauer first became interested in Internet Technologies whilst also getting involved in several software development projects. Gaisbauer started his career in the software industry with Knapp Logistik Automation GmbH in Graz working on software customisation for a number of their customers.

In 1997, Gaisbauer joined the Research and Development Centre of Hyperwave in Graz, Austria as the Quality and New Software Release Manager. In 1998 he was promoted to Reserach and Development Director and in 2001 was again promoted, this time to Vice President of Research and Development, a position which he still holds today.

Chris Brice Managing Director, Hyperwave Ltd.

Chris Brice In his role as Managing Director of Hyperwave Ltd. in the UK, Brice is focussing on strengthening the company’s presence, especially in Great Britain. Hyperwave Ltd. is already the UK’s market leader in the public sector. With Chris Brice on board, Hyperwave also have an experienced manager with a successful background in the IT industry. Brice was most recently Sales Director for Formic Software, one of the leading European software manufacturers in the information acquisition and document processing sector.

Bernhard Heidegger Global Services Director, Director Professional Services

Bernhard Heidegger Since the company was formed in 1996, Bernhard Heidegger has held a number of positions within the Hyperwave organization. He started off working within the IT Infrastructure Group as part of the development team in Graz. In 1999 he helped set up the Hyperwave Support Organization and following this he was instrumental in the setting up of the Hyperwave Competency Centre where proposed Hyperwave Customer solutions are tested for scalability and general performance.

In 2002 he was promoted to Global Customer Support Director, a position which he is still in today. Before joining Hyperwave, Heidegger's technical expertise was gained at the technical University of Graz including projects such as: Zentraler Informatik Dienst and NEXT Generation Web System Hyper+ G.

Peter Luttenberger Director Product Management, Marketing & Business Development Leader

Peter Luttenberger Peter Luttenberger has been the Director of Product Management at Graz Hyperwave in the Product Management Team since September 2004. In this function he carries out strategic planning for the entire product palette. In the four years prior to this, he held various positions in the development team at Hyperwave AG in Graz. Peter Luttenberger studied Telematics at the Institute for Information Processing and Computer Supported New Media (IICM) in Graz and complete his degree under Prof. Dr. Hermann Maurer.
