NewHyperG takes over products and support from Hyperwave AG

Munich • January 25, 2006 Effective November 28, 2005, NewHyperG has taken over all products as well as service and support tasks from Hyperwave AG. The new company will continue Hyperwave’s entire range of products in addition to related services and support, according to Hans Staudte, General Manager of NewHyperG. For Hyperwave’s customers, including respected international companies like Audi, EADS, Fujitsu-Siemens, and Toshiba, this will ensure continued development of Hyperwave solutions and related support.

NewHyperG has also obtained brand, patent, and usage rights to Hyperwave solutions, so the familiar “Hyperwave” brand name will remain unchanged for the entire product line. In addition, the German headquarters in Dornach (near Munich) will remain with a large portion of its employees. Executive managers are Gerhard Pail (a co-founder of Hyperwave) and Ewald Weizenbauer. Christoph Michel, Hans Staudte, and Mansuet Gaisbauer are General Managers. The new company also plans to soon take over Hyperwave sales subsidiaries in Great Britain and the United States.

Global Equity Partners (GEP) of Vienna, an international investment company, stands behind NewHyperG as an investor. GEP had already taken over Hyperwave’s Austrian subsidiary a few weeks previously and folded it into the newly founded NewHyperG AG, headquartered in Graz, Austria.

The takeover of Hyperwave AG, originally founded in Munich in 1987, will make NewHyperG one of the leading providers of collaborative ECM solutions with a fully integrated e-learning and web conferencing environment in Europe. These solutions help companies bring greater efficiency to their decision-making processes and communicate faster. Worldwide more than 300 industrial companies and public sector organizations with more than one million individual users use Hyperwave software.
