Innovative document and quality management system for Tyrolean National Hospitals
Munich • November 16, 2006 Ring binders have had their days in the hospitals of Tirol. An electronic office automation system has replaced its paper-based predecessor and is now optimizing processes in administration and quality management.
The main objective of the project was to implement an electronic office automation system that would enable the digitalization of all paper-based files. While maintaining the current organization of the filing system, all existing documentation from more than 20 different departments had to be digitized. The goal was to enable the management and archiving of all data electronically from start to finish of common business processes.
With the new Office-System TILAK has succeeded in centralising the definition and management of processes surrounding critical communication and documentation within a single system. The Hyperwave solution has been rapidly adopted due to the introduction of the powerful and efficient document search capability, as well as by highly usable and intuitive user interface and also strong integration with existing Office applications.
From a technical perspective this content and document centric management platform provides high scalability and a broad capability of available solutions like workflow and collaboration and working group functionality. Although the system was developed primarily for TILAK, other Austrian hospitals have already taken great interest in the solution.
