On the initiative of the European Commission, the European standard MoReq (Model Requirements for the Management of Electronic Records) was defined. The benefits of MoReq are obvious: Document and records management solutions must conform to an all-encompassing standard to ensure that end users throughout Europe have standardized, interchangeable and compatible products. The end of 2007 will see the emergence of MoReq2, the new version of the European standard, which will also include a certification procedure for software products.

The European-wide MoReq2 standardizes and accelerates product development, facilitates the exchange of experience and reduces the work and expense involved in complying with legal regulations in multinational corporations.

Hyperwave has taken an active part in the development of MoReq2 in order to better support our customers in terms of high interchangeability, long-term protection and standard framework conditions for the use of records management solutions.
