Hyperwave expanding under new management: Herwig Gangl becomes CEO

Munich • June 5, 2008 Hyperwave has filled management positions as of 1 June. Herwig Gangl, previously employed by IBM, is now CEO and chief executive of Hyperwave AG. His goal is the company’s continual and strategic expansion, extending new sales channels and positioning Hyperwave as one of the leading providers on the growing governance, risk and compliance market.

Herwig Gangl can look back at many years of international management experience in the areas of consulting and system integration, and was most recently employed by IBM. During his time at IBM, Herwig Gangl held various international top management positions, most recently as consulting and service leader for Austria, Switzerland, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Herwig Gangl was previously a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and CEO of the Austrian branch. He was also a member of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ consulting management team for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and was responsible for the telecommunications and media segment in this region. Herwig Gangl has also held managerial positions at Cap Gemini and Computer Associates, among others. Gangl studied psychology and biology at the University of Vienna.

My main aim is to increase Hyperwave’s success and to continually expand the company, together with my team, using a consistent corporate strategy. In addition to the core markets in Germany, Austria and the UK, we will focus on expanding in new markets, especially those in Central and Eastern Europe. Chris Brices becomes Managing Director at Hyperwave Ltd

Chris Brice has also recently been appointed Managing Director at Hyperwave Ltd in the UK. He is focussing on strengthening the company’s presence, especially in Great Britain. Hyperwave Ltd is already the UK’s market leader in the public sector.

With Chris Brice now on board, Hyperwave also have an experienced manager with a successful background in the IT industry. Brice was most recently Sales Director for Formic Software, one of the leading European software manufacturers in the information acquisition and document processing sector.

Marketing Team strengthened

At the same time, the marketing department’s team at Hyperwave Information Management GmbH in Munich (Dornach) was also strengthened. Petra Lauterbach will particularly concentrate on improving and intensifying media relations in Central Europe.
