Hyperwave surpasses targeted goals for the 4th quarter
February 13, 2001
Hyperwave AG of Munich has once again surpassed its quarterly
targets, achieving growth of 149% compared with the same quarter
last year.
In the fourth quarter from October 1 through December 31, 2000,
Hyperwave again exceeded its turnover target, with a turnover of
4.6 million euro. This equates to a total turnover of 12.6 million
euro for the fiscal year 2000, an improvement of 124% compared to
1999.
The result exceeds the targeted goal for the entire year by 32%
(after adjustment for extraordinary expenses). Sales anticipated
by analysts Robertson Stephens were surpassed by 18%. The company
counts 168 employees worldwide at the end of the quarter, an increase
by 113% compared to 1999.
Investment in Technological Leadership
Despite the difficult market situation, Hyperwave AG was able to
acquire well-known investors (HITECH Selection S.A., Equity Bridge
Finance GmbH) during the fourth quarter with a financing volume
of a total of 25 million euro. These businesses support the company's
continued expansion strategy as well as the imminent listing on
the stock market. This has secured Hyperwave's finances until the
break even point is reached.
Expansion on Partnerships
The expansion of the business with integration, consulting and
sales partners, which began in the previous quarters will continue
to constitute a major portion of the corporate strategy. Partners
like IDS Scheer, debis Systemhaus, CSC Ploenzke, and Pixelpark already
conduct profitable cooperations with the technology company.
Competitive Advantage through New Product
The launch of Hyperwave's eLearning Suite during the third quarter
has provided an additional competitive advantage. The eLearning
Suite enables customers to use their corporate knowledge base to
facilitate targeted communication of learning content and corporate
information. It constitutes an integral part of Hyperwave's total
knowledge infrastructure. "Within our policy of expansion we
will continue to push the marketing of the eLearning Suite",
explains CFO Gerhard Pail.
New customers for this product - Fujitsu Siemens Business (Malaysia),
Management Circle, Origin Smart Solutions, Telekom Austria - clearly
substantiate the market potential of the products in international
competition.
