Hyperwave top the bill with e-Government solution
June 11, 2002
Hyperwave, a leading supplier of collaborative knowledge management
and elearning software, today announced the launch of its Smart
Information Solution for e-Government. The knowledge management
solution has been designed specifically for local government organisations
and represents a major step towards achieving the Government's UK
Online initiative.
The solution, based on Hyperwave's eKnowledge Suite, allows local
government organisations to internally manage documents and content,
ensuring information is disseminated to the right people at the
right time. Collaboration between government workers can also be
accomplished through the collaborative workspace function within
the solution. This ensures Council Members, departments, external
partners and Citizens can work together in a simple and efficient
manner for both front and back office operations.
The solution can be implemented in four to five weeks and is designed
to integrate with existing systems and other management packages.
Additionally, it is a scalable solution, allowing for future development
including the addition of e-Learning tools and an extranet portal
to enable the local authority to interact externally with citizens
and suppliers.
Terry Jordan, VP Marketing, Hyperwave said, "Local government
is and will continue to be a major area of focus for Hyperwave.
Government agencies, such as local councils, can realise enormous
benefits from using a collaborative knowledge management system,
leveraging cost savings and efficiencies on all government processes
and passing the benefits of this onto the citizens themselves."
