Hyperwave Appoints New Sales VP EMEA

Hyperwave, a leading supplier of collaborative knowledge management
and e-learning software, today announced the appointment of Michael
Gedon as the new VP Sales EMEA at Hyperwave. Gedon will be based
at Hyperwave’s Munich offices and from September 1st, will
report directly to the board.
Gedon‘s remit will be to develop Hyperwave’s direct
and indirect sales and progress its leading position as a provider
of knowledge management solutions. Gedon will also be responsible
for expanding the Hyperwave business into new markets and territories
as well as broadening and cultivating international client relationships.
Christoph Michel, Hyperwave CEO said, ”Hyperwave is already
a market leader in collaborative knowledge management with an established
European customer base. Despite these challenging times, it is
widely acknowledged that the knowledge management industry is expected
to reach $4.2 billion by 2006* and Michael Gedon will be responsible
for taking Hyperwave’s sales operations across EMEA to even
greater heights.”
Trained in industrial management, Gedon has over 20 years of experience
in the IT market. In previous posts, he successfully developed
customer bases in Germany and Central Europe for well-known hardware
manufacturers such as Honeywell Bull, Tandem Computers and Concurrent.
At Sybase, he was in charge of sales for the South German region
and then marketing director and a member of the management team
at Oracle Deutschland GmbH. In addition, he was board director
of sales, marketing and professional services at an Internet subsidiary
of HypoVereinsbank and Vodafone.
