Hyperwave supports world-wide information exchange at Klueber
Lubrication
March 30, 2004
Hyperwave document management system connects the continents
and improves the customer service of the international manufacturer
of special lubricants.
Hyperwave AG, specialist for collaborative Enterprise Content
Management solutions, cares for smooth document distribution
within Klueber Lubrication. Based on the Hyperwave server platform
IS/6, SlideShop for the administration of presentations and the
Hyperwave SSL gateway, Hyperwave partner SerCon, an IBM service
company, installed a world-wide available document management system
with Intra- and Extranet functionality.
One of the most important requirements for Klueber Lubrication
was the ability of the platform to be integrated into heterogeneous
system landscapes. At present the Intranet platform is used by 1,500
users world-wide and processes about 17,400 user logins and approximately
1,3 million hits a month.
Christoph Michel, CEO of Hyperwave commented the necessity for
collaborative Enterprise Content Management: "to remain competitive,
organizations must act more and more globally. The implementation
of a uniform enterprise software solution can supply crucial competition
advantage. Content management systems create the basis for a comprehensive
knowledge transfer resulting in a solid economic benefit."
The Hyperwave solution is a web-based, integrated interface. This
was an important criterion, as Gerold Roeder, team leader of information
systems with Klueber Lubrication Munich explains: "right from
the beginning we planned without any editorial support for the Intranet
content. Therefore it was extremely important to enable each employee
the independent publishing of contents as easy as possible."
